Young people can complete four online tests on their personality and ambitions before a range of careers are suggested. There is also advice on qualifications. It is run by North Yorkshire County Council the Service Directory contains information from Statutory, Voluntary and Self Help groups across North Yorkshire. The range of information, advice and guidance, varies from career and education advice, health problems, pregnancy advice, youth offending, Groups that help with drug and alcohol problems, help and advice for carers and young carers, Sport groups, leisure activities, Volunteering opportunities and events.
Apart from playing a vital role in connecting families and young people with the services designed to help them, the service directory is an invaluable tool in promoting joined up working. As it moves closer to becoming a fully comprehensive listings service.
