Job Description:
Fixed term contract until 31st March 2010.

Based at Harrogate College this is a new and exciting post which is targeted at reducing the number of young people in the Harrogate area who are not in employment, education or training. The role of the PA is to support young people who are facing multiple barriers to learning by helping them to overcome areas of difficulty within their lives and to achieve their potential by raising aspirations and self esteem.

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to be innovative and resourceful in order to capitalise on opportunities for partnership working with local schools, employers and other partners. Flexible working is a requirement of the post, including evening and weekend work as appropriate. Applicants should also have recent previous experience of working directly with young people in a 1:1 and group work capacity.
